Bible Verse for the Day

Today's Bible verse is from Isaiah.

"He was pierced for our transgressions, crushed for our sins.  The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him.  And by His wounds we are healed."   
Isaiah 53:5 

I just LOVE that verse!  It is so powerful!  The He that the verse is referring to (if you couldn't guess) is Jesus.  He was pierced for us, He died for us.  And that actual verse is a prophecy that was told even before Jesus died for us.  Even before He was born!  That just shows us that there really is a God who loves and cares for us.

    I love that verse a lot, too! It's so good! But all verses are like that in the Bible. :)

    Oh, that is my absolute favorite verse. I love the song by Todd Agnew based on this verse as well. I don't hear it often but it's still wonderful.
