"Can God hear a hundred million prayers at one time? 'God has infinite attention to spare for each one of us. He does not deal with us in the mass. You are as much alone with him as if you were the only being he had ever created.'"

Dailey Bible Verse

I'm back, with today's Bible verse; I really like this one!

For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don't use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.

Bible Verse of the Day

Hey fellow people, this weeks Bible verse is a simple verse that us Christians were taught at a very young age. But it's not just another Bible verse. The Bible was God breathed, that means that the Bible is God's love note to us. It's precious in every single way possible, and every word-every verse-has a meaning and a purpose.

"For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son. So that whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.

Love Never Fails!

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  Love never fails."
1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Bible Verse for the Day

I was reading my Bible study today and I noticed a verse that really caught my attention.  It comes from the Psalms.

“Your Word, O LORD, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.”
Psalm 119:89

The Word of the Lord is eternal, it says.  The word eternal in the dictionary means “Without beginning or ending; lasting throughout all; timeless.”  Another definition is, “Always, forever and the same.”  When Psalms 119:89 talks about the Word, it is in capital letters.  The Word is God’s Word.  Aka, the Bible.  The Bible is so important, that it it written in a capital.

That just goes to show you how important God’s Word, His own words to us, are.

Today's Bible Verse

Today's Bible verse comes from James, chapter 4 verse 8.

"Draw near to God and he will draw near to you.  Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded."
James 4:8

This is a good reminder to us to "draw near to God", and we are assured if we do that, He will draw near to us.  That is my ultimate goal in life: to draw near to God so He will draw near to me.  But we can't draw near to God without trying.  He have to ask God to draw us to him.  It's as easy as that.  Oh, and spending time with him.  That's a big part when trying to draw near to God.

Just remember, He will draw near to you if you would just draw near to Him.

Wednesday's Bible Verse!

Today's Bible verse comes from Matthew chapter 28 verses 19 and 20.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
Matthew 28:19-20

There it is, right from Jesus' mouth to "go and make disciples of all nations".  All my life I have wanted to do just that, make disciples of the nation, be a missionary.  And I always thought that in order to be a missionary, I would have to go far away from home, on a continent other than the one I live on.  But I have recently realized: I don't need to go to another continent to bring the Gospel to others or to tell others about Jesus.  We are missionaries here where we live right now.  We are being missionaries just living out our lives in this sinful world, being a light to other people.

You don't have to go to a third world country to tell the world about Jesus.  You can be a missionary by just sharing the Word to your friends, or the people in front of you at the grocery store.  Even just a simple smile or an encouraging word to someone who needs one is showing Jesus to them.

Bible Verse for the Day

Today's Bible verse is from Isaiah.

"He was pierced for our transgressions, crushed for our sins.  The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him.  And by His wounds we are healed."
Isaiah 53:5

I just LOVE that verse!  It is so powerful!  The He that the verse is referring to (if you couldn't guess) is Jesus.  He was pierced for us, He died for us.  And that actual verse is a prophecy that was told even before Jesus died for us.  Even before He was born!  That just shows us that there really is a God who loves and cares for us.
