"Can God hear a hundred million prayers at one time? 'God has infinite attention to spare for each one of us. He does not deal with us in the mass. You are as much alone with him as if you were the only being he had ever created.'"

merry CHRISTmas!!!!!

Hey guys!!!   Just wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas!  And it's very important that we say Merry Christmas instead of happy holidays.  We should always include Christ in Christmas because without Him,there would be no Christmas !!!!

Love Never Fails!

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  Love never fails."
1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Bible Verse for the Day

I was reading my Bible study today and I noticed a verse that really caught my attention.  It comes from the Psalms.

“Your Word, O LORD, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.”
Psalm 119:89

The Word of the Lord is eternal, it says.  The word eternal in the dictionary means “Without beginning or ending; lasting throughout all; timeless.”  Another definition is, “Always, forever and the same.”  When Psalms 119:89 talks about the Word, it is in capital letters.  The Word is God’s Word.  Aka, the Bible.  The Bible is so important, that it it written in a capital.

That just goes to show you how important God’s Word, His own words to us, are.

Today's Bible Verse

Today's Bible verse comes from James, chapter 4 verse 8.

"Draw near to God and he will draw near to you.  Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded."
James 4:8

This is a good reminder to us to "draw near to God", and we are assured if we do that, He will draw near to us.  That is my ultimate goal in life: to draw near to God so He will draw near to me.  But we can't draw near to God without trying.  He have to ask God to draw us to him.  It's as easy as that.  Oh, and spending time with him.  That's a big part when trying to draw near to God.

Just remember, He will draw near to you if you would just draw near to Him.

Wednesday's Bible Verse!

Today's Bible verse comes from Matthew chapter 28 verses 19 and 20.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
Matthew 28:19-20

There it is, right from Jesus' mouth to "go and make disciples of all nations".  All my life I have wanted to do just that, make disciples of the nation, be a missionary.  And I always thought that in order to be a missionary, I would have to go far away from home, on a continent other than the one I live on.  But I have recently realized: I don't need to go to another continent to bring the Gospel to others or to tell others about Jesus.  We are missionaries here where we live right now.  We are being missionaries just living out our lives in this sinful world, being a light to other people.

You don't have to go to a third world country to tell the world about Jesus.  You can be a missionary by just sharing the Word to your friends, or the people in front of you at the grocery store.  Even just a simple smile or an encouraging word to someone who needs one is showing Jesus to them.

Bible Verse for the Day

Today's Bible verse is from Isaiah.

"He was pierced for our transgressions, crushed for our sins.  The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him.  And by His wounds we are healed."
Isaiah 53:5

I just LOVE that verse!  It is so powerful!  The He that the verse is referring to (if you couldn't guess) is Jesus.  He was pierced for us, He died for us.  And that actual verse is a prophecy that was told even before Jesus died for us.  Even before He was born!  That just shows us that there really is a God who loves and cares for us.

Daily Bible Verse

Hello again!  Today's Bible verse (or should I say verses) comes from Ecclesiastes.  These are some of my favorite verses on friendship.

"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: if either of them falls down, one can help the other up.  But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up."

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Even in the Bible the Lord tells us that it is not good to be alone.  In the Garden of Eden, God saw that Adam was alone.  And so He made Eve, a companion for Adam.  So summing it all up, we all need each other!  We can't live life without another person by your side.  If you read on to the next two verses, it will tell how a chord of "three strands is not easily broken".  If you have a friend beside you to help you when you fall down, or a friend to work with, it is always better.

So don't forget, we all need each other!

Daily Bible Verse!

Hello, all!  Today’s Bible verse comes from Hebrews.  It’s a short verse, but very powerful nonetheless.

“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what what we do not see.”

Hebrews 11:1

Wow!  That’s a pretty good definition of faith if you ask me.  Faith.  It’s such a small word, but it has such a big meaning.  Just take a minute and let that soak into your mind.  “… being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”  So powerful, so true!!!  Faith is a powerful thing!  If you need anything right now, healing, Jesus’ love, then pray… and have faith.  You can’t be a believer without it.

Saturday's update !

Hey guys! It's Saturday!!!! Yay,no school!!! Just letting you know that we do not have daily bible verses on Saturdays. So just go and enjoy your Saturday, let loose,go shopping or go see a movie or whatever! (you probably didn't need me to tell you to do that, but whatever)

Daily Bible Verse!

Hey everyone! It's time for the daily bible verse! It's a classic , but it still has meaning!!!

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son,so that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but  have everlasting life.
John 3:16

I have heard that verse all my life, and I noticed the other day that since I had heard it so much,I had become immune to its meaning. So every time you read this verse, make sure you know what it means and always believe it!!!

Daily verses

Here is the Bible verse for today.  It is Matthew 22:36-40.  It is one of my all time favorites.

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’  This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'  All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
                                   Matthew 22:36-40

I hope you find this encouraging!  It always reminds me where, and Who, to keep my focus on.  Jesus!  With all these worldly distractions in life, it's hard most of the time to remember to keep our eyes on the one, true king.  Our Savior Jesus Christ!
